A close friend whom I had not seen or communicated with for quite some time was passing through town on her way to her family’s Thanksgiving celebration. She called me, and we were able to spend the afternoon together. We truly enjoy each other and plan to take a trip together next year.
I am reminded of a verse in the Bible about “God restoring the Years the Locust have eaten.” I had often wondered how this restoration could take place. Well, now I know. When we got together it was as if no time had passed since the last time we were together. We simply picked up where we left off. Everything was restored. So, I invite you to re-connect with someone who seems to have been ‘lost’ to you. Someone whom you think about but have not connected with in quite some time.
And, this also reminds me that God or Spirit is ever available to us. We are the ones who need to re-connect with It. There is no compulsion in Spirit. We have free-will. It is up to us to make our choices – to connect or not. It’s just like plugging the lamp into the electrical socket. We have to make the connection or the light will not come on.
I encourage you to re-connect with Spirit in a way that works for you. There is no ‘one right way’. As Nike says, “Just do it.” Your life will begin to work better, you will find more peace, harmony, and joy throughout your day. Deepak and Oprah offers 21-Day Meditation Challenges. One is currently available, just google 21-Day Meditation to make your connection.
Here is wishing you and yours a joy filled Thanksgiving celebration!
